During the interview, he discussed the situation concerning Zbigniew Ziobro and the decision by Hungarian authorities regarding political asylum. According to Rosati, there are no grounds to grant Ziobro political asylum, and the former minister was subjected to standard procedures rather than political repression. He asserts that the decision by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was purely political and represented an instrumental use of asylum law, suggesting that Hungary may have violated EU treaties. Rosati also expressed surprise regarding the stance taken by the European Commission on this matter.
