A detective focused on determining if a vehicle strike caused Carter's death, utilizing audio evidence such as sounding like a "bang" and a "scrape" recorded near the location. Despite this, the lack of physical vehicle debris and concerns about potential scene compromise prevented investigators from reaching definitive conclusions about the cause of death. The APD has since closed the case, noting it remains subject to reopening should new evidence become available regarding the death of Treysuhr Carter.
