📝 Description
Performance of the sixth movement, "Vidit Suum Dulcem Natum," from Pergolesi's *Stabat Mater*, as presented by the Notre Dame Magnificat Choir. This segment is paired with the Sixth Station of the Cross. The performance features vocal soloists Elizabeth Schleicher (soprano) and Eleni Taluzek (alto), under the direction of Dr. Patrick Kronner. The accompanying orchestra includes strings, harpsichord, organ, and theorbo.
The recording took place during a live concert held on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, within the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. Readings inspired by the Catholic Worker movement are incorporated into the larger presentation contextualizing Christ's Passion through the perspective of the Virgin Mary.
