Alain Goriely currently serves as the Director of the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and is the inaugural Statutory Professor of Mathematical Modelling at the University of Oxford, a position he took in 2010. Prior to his role at Oxford, he founded a research group at the University of Arizona's Program of Applied Mathematics starting in 1996, following his PhD from the University of Brussels.
