The Department of Radiotherapy at SAIMS, led by Prof & Head Dr. K.L. Gupta, maintains active engagement in teaching, research, and patient care operations since its establishment. The department provides various advanced radiotherapy services to patients, including external beam radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT).
Annually, the department consults approximately 2000 new patients seeking radiation therapy for various conditions. Furthermore, around 5000 patients are maintained on follow-up care after completing their course of treatment administered by the department staff and facilities.
