A jeep carrying devotees fell into a gorge on the Bhojlinga mountain in the Man taluka of Satara district, Maharashtra. The accident resulted in the confirmed deaths of three individuals, with reports indicating that 12 others sustained injuries. The group of pilgrims hailed from Vithlapur village in the Atpadi taluka of Sangli and were returning after visiting the Bhojlinga shrine on the hill.
The incident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle as they were descending. The jeep plunged approximately 200 to 250 feet into the valley below. This section covers the vehicle accident and subsequent casualties near the Bhojlinga Devsthan.
