Ish-kreu i PD Kukës: Këtu kemi deputetë me shtëpi 450 mijë €, ç’merreni me Edi Ramën

During the National Convention of the Democratic Party (PD) in Albania, former official Ibsen Elezi, former head of the PD branch in Kukës, delivered a speech addressing internal party issues and recent public events. Elezi primarily focused on criticizing corruption within the PD's own parliamentary group, demanding that the party implement a vetting and lustration system for its deputies. He specifically referenced deputies owning expensive properties, such as houses valued at 450,000 euros, arguing that the party must clean its own ranks before primarily focusing criticism on Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Elezi also commented on the recent protest held in Kukës regarding the toll on the "Nation's Road" (Rruga e Kombit), which resulted in confrontations with the police. He claimed that elements within the Democratic Party actively worked against the protest three days before it occurred. Furthermore, Elezi expressed reservations concerning the political alliance formed between the PD and the LSI (Socialist Movement for Integration).
