📝 Description
Campaigners who successfully pursued a legal case in the UK regarding the definition of a woman are scheduled to meet with the equalities minister, Bridget Phillipson. This meeting occurs nearly one year after the significant court ruling. For Women Scotland (FWS) plans to press for further clarification following Ms. Phillipson's confirmation that long-anticipated guidance concerning single-sex spaces is expected to be released next month. The group's director expressed a feeling of cautious optimism, referencing the update which follows the submission of draft guidance to the department eight months prior.
During a discussion, journalist Julie Bindel spoke with Talk's Ian Collins regarding the matter of single-sex spaces legislation and policy implementation by the Labour government.
