Planetary observers are directed to note the changing proximity of Venus and Jupiter between April and June 2026. During this period, the two bright planets will appear to move closer together along their orbital paths. By early June, Venus and Jupiter are projected to reach a separation of approximately one degree, equivalent to about twice the apparent diameter of the full Moon.
This celestial event is classified as a conjunction. While the close pairing itself is considered a visual spectacle, monitoring the gradual decrease in angular separation over several weeks offers an additional point of interest for amateur astronomers and stargazers tracking planetary motion.
