The feature film compiles the full version of the 'Raid' miniseries, adapted from the universe of the tactical first-person shooter, Escape from Tarkov. Directed by Anton Rosenberg, the narrative explores the armed conflict within the Norvinsk region, established as a special economic zone situated on the contested border between Russia and Europe. The primary opposing forces depicted are two private military corporations: USEC and BEAR. These factions engage in intense combat scenarios, which also include engagements with remaining independent groups operating within the city, commonly referred to as Scavs.

The central setting places the protagonist within the occupied city of Tarkov. Access into and out of this quarantined zone is strictly controlled by a cordon established by UN peacekeeping forces and Russian military troops. The film focuses on hardcore, realistic modern combat and military engagements.
