The fourth season chronicles the lives of the families after Maxim and Masha Kovalev, working in Holland, plan a vacation in Turkey for themselves and their parents. During the trip, Boyko deduces that Yuri and Olga have divorced but are concealing this from their children and in-laws. A special operation to mend the Kovalevs' marriage initiates in Crimea after Zhenya is sent there for vacation. Upon arrival, it is evident that Crimea is an expensive location, leading the Boykos to propose opening a small hotel in a house provided by a foreign friend of Maxim, a venture the Kovalevs eventually join enthusiastically.
